Individual and Family Clinical Counseling

Therapy sessions, sometimes called counseling, are a safe place for clients to vent and discuss thoughts, feelings, and experiences to a caring and empathic therapist, as well as to learning strategies to cope. The therapeutic relationship is quite different from all other relationships, as the client can tell the therapist what's on his/her mind without fear of information being told to others and affecting job, or offending family or relationships. You will find your therapist has the highest level of clinical education, experience, and skills set to help cope with anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, seasonal mood changes, women's issues, brain injuries, chronic pain and disabilities, and more.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. In many studies, CBT has been demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications. This is one of several treatment strategies your therapist has to offer.
